Now that things have managed to settle down after the havoc of this month's event from the mansion spirits, Grantaire has set his sights on a much more organic event. He did as promised and improved upon Enjolras' early attempt at a flier. It even passed Apollo's judgment and was printed. So now Grantaire is dutifully walking around the mansion with a stack of fliers to post them in whatever public areas he comes across, even venturing outside to hang them up in outbuildings, and enough were printed that there are plenty of extras to be handed out personally if anyone seems curious.

He's of course sure not everyone will come, but the more people do, the more it will seem right, as far as he's concerned, so he's perfectly willing to pitch the event to anyone who seems the least bit amenable to one. Apparently he can stay on task with proper motivation.

"Well, if they're at all like me, they'll need very little convincing."

Susan gives him an amused sort of look. "And what sort of cordial are you, Grantaire?"

[futaille]

"You know, of the many things I have given a great deal of thought to, that has somehow not been one of them. Perhaps some sort of citrus fruit cordial."

"Clearly," Susan says, "you've been spending time thinking of the wrong things. I rather think I'd be a berry cordial."

[futaille]

"Oh, that's an excellent choice. Quite sweet."

"As befits a sugar fiend."

Grantaire laughs. "Perfectly well-considered, then. Do you have a preference as to which berry?"

"Oh, blackcurrant, naturally. Have you got a preference as to which citrus?"

[futaille]

"Mm. Lemon, I think. Sour but makes things interesting."

"Ah. Would you consider yourself more of a limoncello, then?"

[futaille]

"Would you believe limoncello and I have not been properly introduced? You do seem discerning enough that I welcome the comparison, though."

"You've been missing out," says Susan, a little more sternly than intended.

[futaille]

He blinks. "Ah, clearly I have. I assure you I will rectify the error as soon as possible."

Ah. Oops? "No time like the present?" Susan ventures.

He grins. "Music to my ears."

"Shall we?"

[futaille]

"Of course." There is, thankfully, a parlor with a drinks cabinet nearby, so he heads there. "Do you have any particular serving suggestion?"

"Oh, chilled. I suppose you could make a cocktail, but then you wouldn't be able to argue its unique benefits at the gathering."

[futaille]

"Excellent point. Chilled it is. Should I assume you'd like one as well?"

"You should."

[futaille]

"Of course." He does indeed find some Limoncello in the drinks cabinet and goes about preparing a chilled glass of it for each of them. "I have high hopes."

Susan holds up her glass so that Grantaire might clink his against it. "Cheers."

[futaille]

"Cheers." He promptly clinks his glass against hers and takes a drink, his eyebrows rising a bit as he tastes the limoncello. "Huh. Sweeter than I imagined it would be."

"Is it! I find most cordials rather sweet."
