Now that things have managed to settle down after the havoc of this month's event from the mansion spirits, Grantaire has set his sights on a much more organic event. He did as promised and improved upon Enjolras' early attempt at a flier. It even passed Apollo's judgment and was printed. So now Grantaire is dutifully walking around the mansion with a stack of fliers to post them in whatever public areas he comes across, even venturing outside to hang them up in outbuildings, and enough were printed that there are plenty of extras to be handed out personally if anyone seems curious.

He's of course sure not everyone will come, but the more people do, the more it will seem right, as far as he's concerned, so he's perfectly willing to pitch the event to anyone who seems the least bit amenable to one. Apparently he can stay on task with proper motivation.

“Mm.” He considers this. “First we should go to a café, a good one, and then perhaps la Louvre after. Then the university, as well, and of course the Luxembourg. I do not think I could fit it all in one day.”

"All excellent choices," he says with a nod. "Although, yes, it is a bit much for one day, if you mean to display any of it to its best effect."

“It is not quite my ideal day; but it is a good introduction to Paris, I think. I suppose we might go to Notre-Dame as well, just to see it.”

[futaille]

"It's gotten quite popular since the book, yes," he says with a nod¹. "I suppose my choice of where to go would depend on when the day was."

¹ He has no idea that he's lightly leaning on the fourth wall. Or at least adjacent to it.

“Ah, and why is that? Indoor and outdoor activities, or something else?”

[futaille]

"Well yes, that, also seasonal foods, of course. But then there's the consideration... Time is strange here. If the day it gave me was before, well, the day of our arrival here... That would also influence what I'd want to show."

[untamedantinous]

“….Ah. Yes. That is a good point; I had not considered it before.”

[futaille]

"I occasionally have them," he says, amused. "Although I'll admit it's rare."

[untamedantinous]

"I had quite forgotten about the difference in seasons when we arrived. There was, of course, much to think about."

[futaille]

"Oh, was there? I hadn't noticed."

[untamedantinous]

He rolls his eyes and nudges Grantaire with a shoulder. "You had plenty of ways to distract yourself."

[futaille]

"As eager as I often am to contradict you, I find that I cannot in this case. I was especially distracted after a few days, in fact."

[untamedantinous]

"Billiards will do that, I am told," he says solemnly. No, he will never let it go.

[futaille]

Grantaire promptly buries his face in Enjolras' shoulder. His voice is muffled. "Is it at all possible to pretend you never heard about that?"

[untamedantinous]

He laughs a little and tentatively strokes Grantaire's hair. "If it makes you that uncomfortable, I will not bring it up."

[futaille]

"No, no, it's fine." He straightens a bit. "Never let it be said that I, of all people, can't take a bit of teasing."

[untamedantinous]

"I could tease you about other things," he offers -- and since Grantaire has not objected, he leaves his hand where it is.

[futaille]

"Feel free to tease me about whatever you'd like. It is, after all, only fair."

[untamedantinous]

"So noted," he says mildly, toying with one of Grantaire's curls.

[futaille]

His expression cannot quite decide whether to look concerned or amused. "Why do I get the feeling that offer will be fulfilled at a most inopportune moment?"

[untamedantinous]

His smile is truly as innocent as the day is long. Butter would not melt in his mouth, he is a cherub. "I have no idea what you might be referring to."

[futaille]

There may be a few warning bells going off in his head, but probably not nearly enough. "Hm. Very well then. I suppose I'll see."

[untamedantinous]

"I suppose you shall, yes." He's taking the opportunity to snuggle a little closer.

[futaille]

Grantaire all but melts into the snuggles. He huffs out a small laugh, almost despite himself.

"Mm? What is it?"
